Dr. Allan Murray :

TekModo's Chief Scientific Officer and also president of Ecoplexus Inc., an automotive technology services company. An experienced senior manager of research, manufacturing and product development, he has successfully taken many advanced products and technologies from concept through production at a major automotive manufacturer. He has a broad-based knowledge of automotive systems and economics, an in-depth understanding of materials and processes, and extensive experience in technology collaboration. He is a results-oriented innovator with excellent business, people, and communication skills, and a reputation for delivering solutions to the challenges of the future. 

Prior to retiring from Ford Motor Company Al was Ford’s technology director for the Partnership for a New Generation of Vehicles (PNGV), a Government / Industry initiative established to develop affordable fuel-efficient vehicles. In this position he led government/industry teams researching a wide range of technologies including advanced vehicle construction, power trains, fuel cells, batteries, and power electronics. Dr. Murray was also the Manager of Exterior Systems R&D, Plastics Division, where he applied plastics and composite technology to achieve commercial success for bumpers, body panels, body structure, and vehicle lighting. He led the development of the first all-thermoplastic bumpers from initial concept through production implementation, beginning in 1984. Dr. Murray was the first automotive engineer elected a Fellow of the Society of Plastics Engineers for his many technical achievements in the field of Automotive Plastics, and also was recognized as an Honored Service Member for his many years of support to SPE. He is currently director-emeritus of the SPE Automotive Division, and also a member of the Society of Automotive Engineers.
